Breast Surgery
Breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer among women in the vast majority of countries worldwide.
Benefits of early detection and improved treatment plans has prioritised successful outcomes.
While it may be a devastating diagnosis, it doesn’t get to define you. It starts with you, let your journey be a testimony.
We manage our patients through a multidisciplinary team and approach ( MDT), to enable shared decision-making and offer you beneficial support and guidance. It involves case discussions and management with breast imaging specialists, medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, pathologists, nuclear medicine physicians, and plastic surgeons.
As our patient is managed holistically the involvement of a psychologist, geneticists and fertility specialists are also important part of our management plan and would not want to leave our patient not knowing what options they have.
Breast cancer affects both the old and the young, including men. Treatment is not only limited to women. We understand a woman’s image matters and Breast Conserving Therapy is one other treatment modality offered at the practice, in keeping with international guidelines and standard of care.
Our treatment services extend to:
- Breast Conserving Surgery
- Mastectomy
- Risk Reducing Mastectomy
- Lumpectomy
- Breast Duct Surgery
- Benign Breast Conditions
- Palliative Care, for distant disease
- Male Breast Cancer
- Gynaecomastia
Self care forms a pivotal component in raising awareness and early detection through self breast examination and seeking treatment timeously. As an advocate for better health for all, I continue to increase and raise awareness through talks, education and advising women to regularly check their breasts.
